As Nate was training for a half marathon he began to practice yoga at the gym purely to further train his body, but in practicing he found the benefits of yoga reached far beyond improved running times. Since walking into his first class in 2010, the continued practice has taught Nate to pursue health of mind, body, and spirit. With his BA in theater and having previously taught ESL abroad, he left serving tables in 2015 upon getting his 200hr certification under Jenny Vande Hei. Being a part of the Ra family is unlike any other community (Nate is also proud to share the same birthday as Ra Yoga). He relishes the opportunity of guiding others in yoga practice—a life-giving and enriching experience. As Nate continues to grow as a teacher, he finds great joy in getting to know people, explore creativity, and learning to live and love fully. He hopes that through your own practice you would too.
