Judi Smolker came to yoga as a child in Santa Monica, CA. At the age of 12, her mother took her to one of her all time favorite teachers, and so began a life long journey to the self through the self, known as yoga. Judi continued to practice yoga on and off through high school and college. She graduated from UCLA in 2011 with a BA in Anthropology and soon after began to pursue work in Physical Therapy and Yoga as a therapeutic tool. She began working in a PT clinic while pursuing yoga training. Judi was Certified at the 200 Hour level in 2012 through YogaWorks and began teaching yoga right away. She continued to work in PT for 2 years until yoga became her main focus. She now teaches yoga full time and is registered with Yoga Alliance as E-RYT 200 and RPYT.

Favorite Yoga Move: 

Upward Facing Dog. It makes me feel uplifted, open, and strong.

How Has Yoga Benefited You The Most: 

It helps me live in the present moment.

Reason Started Doing Yoga: 

When I was 12 years old my mom brought me along to yoga classes. It started as a way for us to hang out and do something fun together, and grew into something much more.

Classes I Teach

I teach a well rounded challenging level 1 flow that will strengthen you and cover the basics.

This class moves slow and includes soothing stretches, breath work, and safe strengthening postures.

We step up the pace and the heat in this strengthening flow built from straight forward postures.

This class is the perfect mix of your favorite classic pilates exercises to build long, lean muscle and yoga to help the body come back into balance.

In this gentle class we will relax into a variety of soothing postures and use props to help us find comfort. Great class to restore both body and mind to a state of calm and well being.
