Isaac was born and raised in the heart of the Bible Belt, Memphis, TN. Getting a Whole Foods 6 years ago was a huge moral victory there. The concept of Yoga is still slowly coming along. After an arthroscopic knee surgery in college at the University of Arizona (B.S.Kinesiology) in 2007, Isaac was told that he would never run again. He was led to Bikram Yoga in Tucson, AZ, and after 2 classes, he ran far, far away. 8 years later, while “city-dating” in Orange County, he inadvertently took a Yin/Yang class at Yoga Works in Costa Mesa. He moved to Orange County 2 years later. As legend has
it, he found Ra Yoga Studios via Groupon. His first class was a Yogalates dance party; all that
he recalls is that the instructor was holding him in her arms like a baby bird near the end of class. What had just happened? He was hooked.
Isaac completed his 200hr YTT through Ra Yoga last October and Dynamic Artists 100 CE in May 2018. These life-changing trainings further ingrained in him the benefits of a consistent yoga practice. Not just the physical part. While Ra definitely prepared him to become a successful yoga teacher, it was so much more. It taught him to focus on “who you be” in the world. He now views teaching as a way to give back to all of those that share their wisdom and guidance to him as a student. Yoga is such a therapeutic chance to disconnect from all of our technological distractions and heal, through movement and breath - smiling is also encouraged.

The only time I find I can truly take a break from speaking (story time!) + engaging; I keep coming back, as I find myself getting inspired + creative as my practice is more consistent. It keeps me smiling!

Reason Started Doing Yoga:

Dr. recommended after a knee surgery in college - told I would never run again.
